2022-2023 Competitive Registration is open
Welcome to the 2022/2023 LMBA Competitive Basketball Season!
We are happy to announce that registration is now open for Competitive Basketball.
With a similar format to Basketball New Brunswick’s Elite Development Program (EDP), training groups will now be offered for U11 and U13/U14 competitive teams. These training groups provide advantages for both player and coach development alike. This environment will encourage leadership and mentorship opportunities for all. Players will receive better coaching, more practice time, more opportunities for competition, etc.
We will be offering training groups to give all our players a similar training environment experience, and then dividing them up for competition.
· The U11 Group will be made up of balanced teams for Tournaments and Game Play.
· The U13/U14 Group may be tiered to allow for meaningful competition for Tournament and Game Play. There will be some fluidity among players in the training group, and teams may vary throughout the season as players develop and sharpen their skills.
Depending on the number of players signing up for competitive teams, our plan may need to be tweaked as we build this program and as such practice players may be named in the U13/U14 age group. Our goal is to develop as many players who love playing basketball as possible and we are proud to be adopting BNB’s recommendations for the betterment of all players in our association, and for the betterment of basketball in our region.
Participation on a LMBA Lynx Competitive Team does require strong commitment from their team players. The commitment required for competitive teams may make it difficult for a player to participate in more than one competitive sport. Players who believe that this kind of commitment will be difficult for them should consider LMBA House League, which is less competitive and consequently does not require the same commitment.
If you and your player would like to participate on a LMBA Lynx Competitive Team, then please click HERE to register.
Please note you must register with the LMBA League 1st before registering for a Competitive Team. Please click HERE to register with the LMBA League. Only those registered and paid with the League will be allowed to attend the evaluations sessions.
